Isolation can be a hard thing to endure when forced upon you against your will. After reading the novel ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ I felt inspired to visually tell the story of the innocent victims. To my understanding the girls within the story were unable to tell a soul about the horror they suffered, and it is for this reason I have entitled my project ‘without a voice’.
Through my garments I wanted to portray a caged woman, symbolised with use of the natural and man made, which I have interpreted through inspiration and more literally through fabric choice.
